I love this idea, aside from its emphasis on being an alternative to something else. But why do we always have to make everything so expensive these days? It’s no wonder we’re strapped for cash. At fifty thousand pounds, if the Telegraph is right, and three hundred urns, that will cost £170 to bury each pile of ashes in this barrow, with no profit to its installer.
What could stone-age man, with his common sense unadulterated with modern values, have done with the equivalent of all that cash? A lot more than we fools can, that’s what.
